![]() I started with Oblivion when it came out. But i love them for what they are, mods or no mods. They are own perfect in their own special ways and carry their fair share of flaws here and there. I don’t even think i could rank them in order of most to least favourite (despite playing Skyrim the longest). Coming face to face with all of the deep lore and bizarre concepts i had researched all those years before was incredible. I loved how alien and just weird the setting was. It did take me a little while to adjust to the usual things you see people discuss, like fast travel, map markers, combat, etc. I played and beat the first quest about a year ago. Each one is like a whole knew adventure, and offers it’s own unique take/spin on things. I realised that the thing that would be so enticing about the series wasn’t the whole world itself, but the province’s that we reside within. I went back and played Oblivion years later, and it felt just as special. ![]() Then I started researching the deeper lore, reading books, watching theory videos. Wandering around the land was breathtaking. I knew nothing about the games, or their lore. Playing Skyrim for the first time was magical. I did the classic thing of playing them in reverse.
